Real opinions from real students!

Vilma Olsson

BA (Hons) in Graphic Design & Media

"I really liked the Graphic Design programme.

The briefs are not strict, and you can really do what you want do, and orient them to what you want to do in the future.

I like illustration and I could include it in all my projects somehow, and practice on that.

It was really nice to have the freedom to do so.

My fear, when I entered the school was that I didn´t know any software, but we learnt After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Glyphs for typeface... so many that I didn´t think I could learn [them all] in such a short time. I am super grateful for that.

You don´t need to have any previous knowledge about them before you come here."

Rana Ekwass

BA (Hons) in Fashion Design & Manufacture

"One of the things I loved about the fashion design programme, is that we really get to understand the basics of fashion, whether it comes from sewing, or marketing, or the business side of fashion. We also learnt how to digitalise fashion.

It prepares you fully for the fashion industry.

From 2nd to 3rd year, we also create our own collections, and we also produce it.

We did everything that had to be done, from concept making, designing the clothes, and then sewing them at school.

In these past 3-years at Marbella Design Academy, I had a very enjoyable experience, especially meeting my helpful teachers, and making long lifetime friends."

Ayrton Dos Santos

BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Media.

"My experience at Marbella Design Academy was eye-opening.

The Graphic Design course was awesome in regards to the content we were learning and it allowed me to explore various avenues of graphic design and develop my skills through the different software we were introduced to.

The educators are friendly and insightful and their approach to projects and presentations allowed me to overcome my fear of public speaking.

The educators allowed me to express my style through each and every project while maintaining the correct rules and professionalism needed in the final results.

I was able to meet people and make new friends from all over the world with different cultures and backgrounds which enhanced the experience.

I am also grateful for the Spanish classes offered by the Academy."

Nicoline Nør Mønsted

BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design

"I have been to international schools, but never one as diverse as Marbella Design Academy, and I have made many friends from different cultures and backgrounds.

One of the things I liked most at the academy is that the projects we were given had a wide range of choices, meaning we could customize them to however we wanted our career path to go down, and what type of style we wanted to practice.

At the end of the course, we really had found out our own style and our own creative personality."

Anna Ueland

BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture and Design

"My time at Marbella Design Academy was very rewarding.

During my years at the school, I worked on several different projects that helped me evolve as a designer and interior architect.

You will have all the resources you need to launch your professional career after graduation thanks to the supportive and knowledgeable professional educators as well as the welcoming atmosphere of the school.

Overall a school I can definitively recommend and I'm happy I decided to move abroad - not only for the education itself - but also for the cultural aspects.

By attending this college it has prepared me for work in Spain of which the school has obtained and helped me to get.

Finally I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for all the help and encouragement I've received over the years."

Danielle Morgan-Kent

BA (Hons) in Fashion Design & Manufacture

"I absolutely loved my time at the Marbella Design Academy!

My experience was so rounded, as was my growth. The academy and all staff helped me in so many ways, not just academically. Without this I don't think I would have made it through the 3 years (plus foundation) especially during the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

To receive a degree, let alone a First Class honours degree, is something I never thought I was capable of, but with the support, direction, and encouragement of my tutors I have managed to change my career after 10 years in a different industry.

I am so happy to finally work in the fashion industry and have the confidence to pursue my passion and enjoy what I do on a day-to-day basis rather than working to live.

For this I could not be more grateful!"

Leeryan Daniel

BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Media.

"There's a saying that all good things must come to an end. It's a feeling I'm going through at this moment.

I've spent the last three amazing years with friends from different backgrounds and cultures who treat me like family. From having late night study sessions to getting Bartolini's pizza or kebabs every weekend, to having movie or game nights, going for a late night walk in the mountains, having long deep conversations about life, to even celebrating events like Christmas and New Years.

It's a journey I wish that didn't end.

Thank you everyone who has made these three years absolutely special for me. For guiding me and making me grow as a person."

Houman Zendehdel

Mariel Shoemaker

BA (Hons) in Fashion Design & Manufacture.

I'm so grateful for my time at Marbella Design Academy. Before starting my degree in fashion, I barely knew how to sew and didn't know much else, but after my three years were over I feel I have the skills and tools needed to achieve my dreams. The staff really care about the students and it showed; with plenty of 1 on 1 time with the tutors, students are easily able to get the help they'd like as well as constantly get inspired by those around them. It was a great learning experience.

Along with the academic experience , I truly feel the school is so diverse and it was amazing meeting people from all over the world. I've made friends I feel like I will have for life and it has been some of the best years of my life.

Thank you to my teachers for giving me the necessary skills to reach my goals and thank you to Marbella Design Academy for encouraging me to pursue them!“

Anna Kristina Ueland

BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design - 2nd year

”This year has been challenging in a good way. I excelled from my previous projects in so many ways, my skills, research and analysis and the way I communicate my ideas. I have worked on several interesting projects that have made me develop as an interior architecture student. During the group project, I also had the chance to work with the other departments, which was such a pleasure. Overall a very educational year and I can't wait to begin again and learn even more next year."

Bianca Germaux

"I had a wonderful experience at Marbella Design Academy. I learned so much and had the best time.

I made wonderful friends and so enjoyed experiencing life in Monda. So special.

The teachers were great and very helpful. If I could do it all again, I would! :-)

I would not be where I am today without the graphic design course."

Savannah Moorghen-Young

BA (Hons) in Graphic Design & Media

"I studied Graphic Design and went from having no knowledge at all on the subject to having my own freelance business today, which would not have been possible without the three years I spent at MDA! As well as the knowledge and skills that I gained during this time, I also met some wonderful people from all over the world and a very supportive team of teaching staff who motivated me to keep going when times were tough, believed in me and still keep in touch and show their interest in my journey despite graduating over a year ago.

If I could go back and do the three years all over again, I would!“

Kristine Heisholte

BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design

"The time at Marbella Design Academy has been very rewarding in many ways.

Both the friendly atmosphere in the academy, as well as the support and knowledge given by the professional tutors give you all the necessary tools for starting your professional career upon graduation.

The programme is innovative in terms of teaching you about new technologies, sustainable architecture and providing you with knowledge of advanced modeling techniques and software skills.

I have enjoyed my time at Marbella Design Academy so much and the department of Interior has provided me with so much new knowledge for my future career!

"This year has been very good in all aspects. I have learned a lot and I have improved from the beginning until now.

I am very grateful to my teachers because without them I would not have achieved these results.

You can always improve, and here I am, looking forward to starting the next year to give my best and keep learning and growing“

Adrian Redondo

BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design - 2nd year

"I transfered this year to the school, in second year.

During this year I have learnt many different things but among the most remarkable things I have learnt and improve a lot about are all the technical package (electrical plan, sewerage plan, lighting plan... ) and the graphic design (how to create a nice layout, how to work with Photoshop and Indesign applying it to our renders, floor plans, sections.... )

And also how to make perfect research and apply it to our designs.“

Minh Tran

"I've had people telling me that I wouldn't make it.

Well, guess what? As of today, I'm officially graduating with a Bachelor's Degree.

I've set foot to 3 different continents and can speak 3 different languages. I've made friends with so many different people from all over the world. I've learned and done some amazing stuff that I never knew I could do.

And I'm so damn proud of what I've managed to achieve.

Against all odds. I've made it!“

"I just wanted to say thank you for all the guidance, help, and support you have given us these past three years. Especially how the year ended weirdly due to the coronavirus,

I never felt like my education was being sacrificed as the graphic and administration team were always available for us.

I hope our class will make you proud and I wish you all the best.

Rebecca Bright

"When my son started with the Foundation Course I knew he was creative and his mind full of ideas and imagination.

I am overwhelmed by the way during the following 3 years of the BA (Hons) Interior Architecture programme he has been taught how to develop this creativity into the professional, organised way he is now able to communicate and present his ideas".

Jy Young Min

BA Interior Architecture

"From the beginning the experience was amazing for me.

Everyone I have been in contact was extremely helpful and kind.

The classes are structured to address individual student needs and the courses are focused on getting students ready for the job market.

The instructors are always available to answer questions, at any time. They kept me focused and rooted in my studies.

The program itself was very manageable with my already busy life.

I would say that you will get out of this program what you put in it.

It seems that they have made virtually impossible to fail if you put in the work.

Best decision I have ever made“

Three years of hard work at Marbella Design Academy payed off! - & I got a 1st Class BA Hons Degree. Professional and experienced teachers who passed on not only theoretical elements, but knowledge of the industry from the very inside of it. All tasks and assignments were created in a way that you learned and practiced to get only better and better within time restraints. It took time and patience combined, but for me it was most  important to be inspired and feel motivated- at Marbella Design
